This is incredible! This morning, we got a tweet from jumpnjoey16 telling us that our Top 10 podcast is the number 1 Audio Podcast. He tweeted the link, and we got this capture of the Top Audio and Video Podcasts. I’m not really sure where this list was taken from (if you know, can you tell us?), but wherever, it’s really incredible! Endless thanks to Blue Ritz, someone we’ve never even met, someone we’ve never communicated with even virtually, someone who has been tirelessly posting our daily Top 10, for the past I don’t know how many years. I remember way back, Cat was the first one to post our Top Tens. It wasn’t a podcast, but she would diligently list down the Top 10 and write it down for people to read on her website. When she migrated, just in the nick of time, we heard of Blue Ritz, who was supposedly recording the show and making it available for download. We’ve never talked to the guy, we’ve always announced that we’d love to meet him, because we owe him so much for all the trouble he goes through daily just to post the podcasts. It’s really great for us because we reach the people who would otherwise miss the program because of their geographic distance or because of schedule conflicts. Many listeners from abroad and people who have odd shifts have told us that ever since they found out about his website (www.cdtop10.blogspot.com), they’ve been able to catch up with all the episodes they’ve missed. They load it on their ipods and listen to the show at their leisure, whether it’s while they commute to work, or during their downtime.
I’ve actually downloaded a couple of episodes because I’m curious how we sound, since obviously, we wouldn’t know. It’s a weird sensation listening to myself, as if I were somebody else. I’d download next yesterday’s Top 10, possibly one of our best ever, the one with the doctor, nurse, clinic, hospital quotes, even if I say so myself. So I always have a couple of podcasts in my iPod, out of curiosity and as a critique as well, so I know what our strengths and weak spots are, from the point of view of a listener. So we really cannot thank Blue Ritz enough for his labor of love (since we don’t pay him anything), and this info we stumbled upon is nice icing on the cake.
So this is really cool! It’s beyond cool. So whether it’s really a big deal or it turns out that it’s not actually that big a deal, I’d like to nevertheless use this oportunity to shout-out a big THANKS to Blue Ritz and his podcast. Woot!
