Mystery Gift From Jollibee!

A mysterious gift was dropped off the house today, and it appears to be from Jollibee (is it safe to say I got bee-mail?). It just had my name on it, with nothing more written on the card, no details, no nothing else. Excited and intrigued by this unexpected gift, I ripped off the wrapper like a kid on Christmas day, to see what goodies lay inside the box. When I finally wrenched open the box, the mystery deepened and my curiosity further piqued…

What was all this? It was a collection of sundry presents, all quirky in it’s own way, and it left me with the impression that the different gifts were clues for a bigger message that I was supposed to put together like a puzzle. The mystery deepens. It started off with a potato clock:

I love science projects, so I quickly assembled the potato clock, which is basically a clock with no batteries, powered only by potatoes! It was pretty easy to put together, basically zinc and copper bars attached by wires that connected the clock to the two large potatoes. And seriously, once I injected the bars into the potatoes, the clock started working immediately! There was also this cow thingy:

At first I thought it was just a stuffed toy that you’d hang in your car or something, but upon further inspection, I discovered it actually unfolded into a tote bag!

It had a “trans-cow-mers, more than meets the eye” vibe. Then, there was this mouse and cheese pen holder:

Also inside the box, was another wrapped box, that had a card saying: “Because you deserve something different…”

I opened that box, and inside was this:

This I REALLY loved. I took the pillow cases out and it fit me to a T (not me like a t-shirt, but fit my taste in bed linen)!

I love them! But what does it all mean? I get the pillow cases, maybe because I work in radio – therefore the cassette tape and a microphone design? But what about the other gifts? I really think these unique gifts are all clues pointing to something new from Jollibee! If I were to put on my detective hat and assume my Sherlock Holmes secret identity, I’m thinking maybe it’s a new product, something that has potatoes (the potato clock), beef (the cow tote bag) and cheese (the mouse & cheese pen holder)?

Then I realize I missed a major CLUE that was right in front of me all this time: there was an actual invite attached on the Potato Clock box:

I knew it!!! So there IS something new and different coming out from Jollibee! So based on the note, it’s crispy, baked and langhap-sarap and I’ll get the chance to check it out on the 15th! Okay, looks like I got a date with Jollibee on Thursday!
