Cairo, my Yorkshire Terrier, is my first longhaired dog ever. All my dogs before were shorthaired: Dalmatian, Labrador Retriever, Beagle, and Chihuahua. So this is the only dog that I personally groom at least once a day, twice preferably! So I guess this is also the reason why we’re so close, we have this daily bonding time where it’s just him and me, about 30 minutes a day. But even if I groomed him twice a day, it’s still not enough to keep his coat neat. He’s like Dennis the Menace or Pigpen of Peanuts or Calvin of Calvin and Hobbes: he manages to act like a dirt and muck magnet and manages to muss himself up in the shortest time possible. So most of the time, I just try my best to keep him as tidy as I can (which I fail in miserably). So every week or so, I need to bring him in for a total grooming at the vet. it’s like a dog version of a day at the spa. The result is so amazingly stark that I just had to share it with you guys. So funny. Remember the scene in Beauty and the Beast where the Beast was given a bath and looked like a total wuss after? Exactly.

Hehehe…I swear, he’s just so cute. He looks like the gusgusin little boy who was forced to wear sunday clothes. Of course this coiffed look lasts about 15 minutes, tops, before he reverts to how he looks like in the first picture. Okay fine, so he’s my favorite! Can you blame me?
Strange Fruit 
Holy cow! Even his facial expression kinda changed. He looked kinda dorky, like he was just “Hehehe! I’m a cutey little doggy, play with me” on the first photo, then he got transformed to this sharp-looking handsome dog who means business. Oh well, at least you were able to capture this moment before we went back to his usual ways! LOL *Hugs to Cairo*

I have a Silky which is pretty much like a Yorkie except the coat is – well – silky. I tell you, tiny dogs have the biggest personality. So much more than the big ones. And they don’t think they are tiny at all! Cute post!

I have a bunny who grooms herself. I swear she’s almost as neat as me, if not, she’s more neat. 😀 Hay. Pets are so cute… they actually make someone’s day 😀

you know what? that photo really shocked me! i was there too, and i saw the pics, so nooneenoo, looking at the cute pics, then i almost dropped my dog when i saw our pics! nagulat talaga ko dun.
We just got a German Shepherd puppy. She needed a name. We all had our favorites–5 kids, 2 parents. We couldn’t agree, so we put all the choices in a hat and let the puppy pick. She picked Cairo. Those in favor of other names balked, so we shuffled the papers and she picked again. Cairo it is. She couldn’t be any more opposite to your cute, little Cairo! I mean she is cute and cuddly now, but she’s going to be huge!
