I got this from The Philippine Star a couple of days ago.I just feel the need to post this one last time on the eve of our book launch, because until today, we still had people texting and tweeting the where and when and what time questions.

Soooo…which brings me to this most exciting moment in our career (but equally stress-inducing as well), tomorrow’s Book Launch and Book Signing at Robinson’s Galleria Activity Area, from 1-4pm! I’m really getting flop sweats just thinking about tomorrow. I’m pretty sure a lot of you guys naman will join us, but I guess it’s normal when you’re about to have a huge event the next day. I’d probably be a nervous wreck on the eve of my wedding (if ever I get married).

I don’t really know how tomorrow will turn out, siyempre I hope dudumugin, but as early as now I’d like to thank everyone who’s planning on going. If you have the book but haven’t had it signed, bring it and we’ll sign it; if you don’t have the book, buy it there, then we’ll sign it; if you have the book and had it signed already, buy a new one and we’ll sign that. Seriously, let’s just have fun tomorrow and make a memorable day, not just for us, but for everyone going!

And feel free to have the book signed by the rushers who frequently make it to the Top 10 lists! Special thanks in advance to Jrhyan, Fortunata de Coco, Custer Winston, and Butterbaby for volunteering to help us out tomorow (mwahugz!). So…get your beauty sleep tonight, and let’s make tomorrow LEGENDARY!

So…can you name names?

Homaygash, I get goosebumps just looking at this!!! I can’t begin to try and explain how grateful I feel about the success of the book. False modesty aside, we never really expected so many of you guys to actually go out and buy the book that we’ve been planning to make for YEARS. If not for the people of Summit, the dream would never have become a reality. Naks, and to think we haven’t even launched the book yet!

So again, can I just take this opportunity to invite everyone to our launch and book signing, happening this coming Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the Robinson’s Galleria Activity Center, from 1pm until 4pm. Please come and join us, and share this momentous event in our careers. This reminded me of when we were to launch our first CD at Hard Rock Cafe in Makati. But this time it’s extra special, because we share this moment with everyone who’s entries found their way into the book. So feel free to have your books signed as well by (if they come) Oscar Dela Hopia, Mr. Perk, Targrod, Lockon Stratos, Loi Pogi, and other Top 10 legends who might grace us with their presence.

Obviously I chose a relatively tame photo of the sex kitten better known as Samantha Fox. She has gazillions of nude photos littering the internet, and gracing many pages of numerous 80′s girlie magazines, so I was shocked, nay, appalled that when I mentioned her name this morning, few remembered who she was. The injustice! The ignominy! The shame! How could history forget one of the most profound artists in the anals, I mean, annals of history?!? Her lyrics were sublime: “Temporary love’s so bad, but it feels so good” and “I was hunting you down, and I was the bait”. And although Samantha Fox has no qualms about shedding her inhibitions, especially her ample “lungs”, do NOT mistake her for the OTHER Samantha Fox, who happens to be a porn star. It’s like comparing pearls to swine. Samantha Fox the singer oozes classy class and upper-class…well…class. Her fashion statements stood the test of time. You can wear any of her spandex-denim combos today and people will still go, “Wow, whatta classy gal!” So I’d like to give credit where credit is due and extol the many virtues of a musical legend. And in her honor, I suggest a slogan to celebrate a forgotten supernova, a regal nightingale of a popstar – “Samanth Fox All Day!”

Although her extensive library is riddled with such classics as, “Touch Me (I Want Your Body)” and “(Hurt Me, Hurt Me) But The Pants Stay On”, let me leave you with my personal favorite Samantha Fox song, which encompasses my entire life experience: “Naughty Girls Need Love Too.”

What to expect in the year of the Water Dragon? First of all, a year of the dragon comes along every 12 years. But each sign has 5 elements, which also rotates. So that means, a water dragon comes along only once every 60 years! The last time we had a year of the Water Dragon was way back in 1952.  So I did my research of the different Chinese astrology sites, and although they were saying pretty much different things, one theme was consistent: the successes will be spectacular, the tragedies will be egregious.

The dragon is usually considered the most special sign, since it’s the only animal of the Chinese 12-animal zodiac cycle, that is a mythical creature. Considered the mightiest of the signs, the wise, benevolent dragon of Chinese mythology is expected to descend from the skies, bringing good fortune, opportunity and romance. The year of the Water Dragon is generally considered great for romance, especially weddings. So people who’ve been waiting for their soul mates, this could be the breakthrough year for you.

Dragon years tend to magnify both successes and failures, so achievements will be unprecedented, but failures will be equally vicious. But the Water Dragon is expected to be the least turbulent of the dragon years. Which is not to say that the year will flow smoothly like water in a lake, because in fact it will be a bumpy ride much like rapids in a raging river. This is the year of the achiever. If you want something, go for it from the very start of the year. This will also be the year to take charge, or even to take over. So if you want to make new starts in terms of love and career, this is the year to go for broke. But this is only for the brave at heart, because either you will succeed beyond your wild imaginings, or you will crash and burn in an explosive ball of fail.

But unfortunately, this as also the year of the natural calamities. If you were to look at the last year of the Water Dragon, which was way back in 1952, it was riddled by storms, tornadoes, landslides and even a killer fog. two epidemics also broke out in Europe and in the U.S. But let’s not dwell on this (iz gettin me nervyooz).

So based on what I read, everything will be tenfold, everything will be intense. You can win big, you can lose big. In my opinion, be in the state of mind that you’ll win big. Don’t even entertain the alternative. Just go for it and give it all you’ve got. Besides, this is only if you subscribe to this school of thought. Personally, I take it with a grain of salt. I remember one year where they said people born on the year of the Goat would have the worst luck, and it turned out to be one of my best years ever. So my usual plan of attack is this: if they say it’s a good year for me, I believe it; but if they say it’s a bad year for me, then I buck the odds. I’m not about to crawl under a rock for an entire year just because it’s “not my year”. So it’s nice to know the general trend for each year, but I say let’s make our own destinies rock!

Hehehe…we saw all the Disney characters, but the only one I really thought of lining up for was Mulan’s Mushu! And we only realized later how relevant Mushu is since tomorrow is Chinese New Year, and we are welcoming the Year of the Dragon! So I guess it’s propitious to post a photo of the hilarious dragon in the Disney classic, memorably voiced by Eddie Murphy, who, also voiced Shrek’s Donkey, who eventually fell in love with…a DRAGON! Funky!

Anyway, we don’t really follow all the superstitions regarding Chinese New Year. We just wear new RED underwear and eat tikoy. We reserve all the paranoia for the gregorian new year. Anyway, tomorrow I’ll be posting what I’ve been researching about the whole day, what the water dragon has in store for us! I’ll post it once I’m done writing it.
