I guess by now, my co-jocks have said everything there is to be said about the anniversary of Monster Radio RX 93.1. And as you can see with the photo above, I’ve been with RX for a LOOOOOOONG time now. And hopefully even LONGER. So let me just let some of the old photos I dug tell some of the storytelling.

What’s up with all the ties? We look like a bad 80′s The Knack cover band. Notice how I USED TO drink quite a bit. I noticed a lot of the party photos had me holding a drink or two…

And the fashion sense! I can’t say much about how homely my clothes were, but good lord, I miss how the clothes used to fit me so well! I hardly needed to suck my stomach in during picture taking!

Rude Dude Jude Rocha is that you? Cool beans! Notice the oh-so-hip folded jeans and the come-hither half-open mouth pose?

Boyzone in the house! That’s Fran with me in the photo! We interviewed the boys together, including the vampiric Ronan Keating. Awww, the late Stephan Gately wasn’t looking during the pic.

It’s the Planet X boyz!!! Yup, Jude and I were the original sparring partners. They called us Heckle and Jeckle, after the two mischievous cartoon magpies, because we had the habit of hosting events “mildly inebriated”.

Did I mention I used to drink “a bit”? Yes, I was a party animal back in the day. And yes, even then, my co-workers like to make fun of me. Poor Chico, such supportive co-workers.

Where’s the love, Jude?!? There I was, my consciousness snatched by copious libation, and you flip me the bird. Nice.

And let’s not forget the 2 DJ’s who, during one RX Halloween party, thought it would be a GREAT idea to come as bride and groom. TOINK.
I can’t wait! I just LOOOVE the Cirque shows!
This is what we’ve all been waiting for! Leaked months before the release!

LAST TWO DAYS!!!
We got to watch Saltimbanco on opening night thanks to @HooplaOfficial and having watched Varekai last year, we were thirsting for more! It’s always thrilling to watch a Cirque Du Soleil show because you feel like you’re entering a whole new world, a new dimension, and you get lost in the fantasy and imagery that they take you into. This time around, they’re doing the show in a much bigger venue, the SM Arena.

The excitement was palpable, everyone was just waiting for the show to start, so when the pre-show shenanigans started, we were ripe for the picking. Some of the cast members came out to fool around with the audience, to warm everybody up. If Varekai was more ethereal, replete with wings and gossamer, Saltimbanco is more comical, with alien looking clowns.

Shortly after, the main show started. And when it comes to Cirque shows, it’s useless to even describe what happens next. It cannot be narrated, it can only be watched and experienced. Last 2 days to catch the show, so get your tickets now – log on to http://www.hoopla.com.ph or click HERE.

You’d be shocked to hear Nicole Scherzinger sing this song, unless you knew that she was classically trained before she went all Pussycat Doll on us.
We’re so excited to present – The Kikay Barkada YouTube Channel! We’ll be posting our videos here (and we have a couple already lined up), and we’re really excited! Actually, if you have suggestions for videos you’d like us to do, please feel free to suggest them! Hopefully we get some ideas from you guys too so that we can start working on them ASAP. And who knows, we might even have guests to join us every now and then.
As long as we’re in rap mode, although this doesn’t have quite the same gravitas as the GLOC-9 song, I believe it merits a listen.
Wow, this is powerful…

Great news for fans of Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran — better known as The Wanted — they’ll be in Manila for a one night concert, on September 14, at the NBC tent! I love how the venue is more intimate, so you get to really party with the British lads as they perform their hits “All Time Low”, “Glad You Came”, “Chasing The Sun”, among others! I’m pretty sure this is going to be a dance party, so bring your par-tay outfits and get ready to go wild! Here are some of their videos just to whet your appetites:
