Again, we trooped to our next stop in our book tour, NBS Megamall! And again, we were so happy that so many people took time out from their schedule on a weekend just to have their books signed.

In fact, there were so many people that there was a bit of a problem with the lines. Unlike in Galleria and Trinoma, the Megamall management didn’t allow lining up until about 12:30pm, so every time people started lining up, they would be dispersed by the guards. But eventually, they started allowing lines, but only in one area. So when the area was full, they’d tell the others that they’ve reached the cut-off already. But what they meant was, they just need to clear the holding area, then they’ll start giving out numbers again. Unfortunately, some people thought that they missed their spot already.

We promised that we’d stay on for as long as we needed to, to accommodate everyone who lined up. Fortunately, we were able to do just that. We gave away more than 300 numbers, and we were able to entertain everyone who lined up. With the exception of the initial misunderstanding, everything went great. At least no one came away unsigned.

Also, this was the first signing that, since we were able to accommodate everyone, we were able to stick around and mingle with the Rushers, who again, stayed on from beginning to the very end. The energy was high all the way, even though many of them came from an all-nighter after attending the RX Singles Party the night before.

We were also happy that Gino was able to join the latter part of the book signing! He still had a prom hosting later that day, but he also stayed on until the end, and gamely signed the books of many Rushers. It was also funny (and in retrospect eerily foreboding) that Gino entered with the strains of the late Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” blaring in the speakers, as they always do when we enter and exit with our bodyguards.

Little did we know that in less than 24 hours, the great voice will forever depart this earthly plane.

Again, thank you to Summit, National Bookstore Megamall, our bodyguards, our host, Dr. Love Tom Alvarez and especially the indefatigable RUSHERS who never fail to support every single book signing. Our gratitude is overflowing! THANK YOU!!!

Next Stop: Next Saturday, February 18, Powerbooks Greenbelt 4, 2-5pm!

See you in Greenbelt!
still can’t get over that moment when Delamar, while signing my book, remembered my name and asked where I was? *kilig moment* haha
i know the feeling… she looked for me too,,,
)

super early na talaga haha! number 5 ako! nameet ko narin kayo Weeeeee! di nga lang ako nagpapicture kasi shy parin haha! masaya na ako nameet kayo ng malapitan- after all these years of being a silent and very shy rusher haha
kelan sa greenbelt??
wow si chico naka-necktie pa
Yup, that’s exactly what happened to me. I was already in line, then was dispersed. So I took lunch and when I came back, there was a long line already and hence the disappointment that I wasn’t able to be part of the cut-off. I admit, I was mad, but I guess seeing Chico and Delamar was enough for me. Too bad I wasn’t able to stay long since it was bittersweet for me seeing the others make it, while I should be in it.
I guess I’ll have to do better in Greenbelt.
After our successful Hot Air Balloon Festival gathering in Pampanga, which was only a few hours after the TMR Book Signing and Rushers’ bonding moments at Megamall, I can no longer wait to see Fellow Rushers in the Next TMR Top Ten Book signing na nagiging EB na rin. Sikiskan, magulo, pero sobrang saya! Through these events, I found new friends! And I’m looking forward to meet more friends! Kitakits sa Greenbelt Fellow rushers!
February 10, 2012 was the day I sent my first batch of entries that reached the TMR Top Ten Landi/Flirting Quotes. Chico, DelIe & Jino have had the difficulty pronouncing and re-pronouncing my codename when they’ve read two of my TMR entries. I think that unique codename helped me to be easily recognized at the Book Signing since it was just the day before the much anticipated
Event at SM Megamall, As hopefully expected at the Book Signing, I can still recall how Chico & Delle laughed when they recognized my code name. I told Delle that I’m amongst those who tweeted that had a good laugh at her “Tibok -Tibok counterpart ng Facebok” humor she mentioned a day after their Hot Air Balloon Festival experience. sabi lang nya…”Nakakatawa naman talaga yun diba Dan?” My heart really melted when she smiled…kaya ngayon, talagang silent-rusher-no-more na ako!
uy! i was among the crowd again
btw, thanks so much for even signing my ‘epic’ cd. longtime rusher here. i was influenced by my late father because back in college, when he was driving us to school, sa morning rush sya talaga naka-tune in
he was that cool! ayan, na-miss ko tuloy
sino si naka greeennn he’s a cutieepie
