The Top Ten Statements That Make You Uncomfortable

For me, the most common sources of statements that make me uncomfortable are relatives and kids. Usually these are the people who need an edit button. Or at least a sense of propriety.

The Morning Rush 15th Anniversary Grand EB!

(thanks to DJ Gambit for sending this pic)

Call it an EB, call it a tea party, call it whatever you want, but it’s definitely happening THIS SATURDAY, JULY 9, 2011, AT COFFEE BEAN & TEA LEAF ALONG EMERALD AVE., 6AM-12NN! We’ve decided that it’s about time that we did something like this to celebrate 15 years of doing the show. We debuted The Morning Rush July 8, 1996, and 15 years later we’re still here! Our actual anniversary is on Friday, July 8. But the celebration will happen the next day, Saturday. So mark your calendars and keep that date free! Okay, here’s how it goes: We will be doing the show live, 6-9am, and we’ll be broadcasting from inside Coffee Bean. After the show at 9am, we’ll stick around until 12nn, just meeting and mingling with you guys who’d come over. We really hope you guys can join us, it’ll be something!

PLUS, we’ll be announcing “something” as well. It’s a project that I think our listeners would ENJOY. It’s something that you’ve been bugging us to do for a long time now. Okay, that’s all the teaser I can give you. You’ll have to wait for the “LARGE REVEAL”. Taken na kasi yung “BIG reveal” kaya LARGE naman.

So we’ll see you guys? We’re so excited!

Instagram

This is a pretty old app, and this is actually one of the first few apps I ever bought, but somehow I have never really gotten into it, until now. A lot of you might have it already, but in case you don’t, get it so we build our Instagram community! For those who don’t have it yet, it’s like Twitter, where you follow people and have people following you. Only instead of just words, you post photos, with captions if you wish, and it enters your feed, and the feed of the people who follow you, just like on Twitter. People can also “like” your photos and post comments, just like on Facebook. So it’s pretty fun! You can post based on artistic merits of your photos, or simply anything you found interesting enough to take a picture of. Just like on Twitter, the personality of the friend will reflect on the photos they post.

So follow me on Instagram, my user name is chicogarcia and just search for it. And I’ll check out your pictures as well! I can’t promise to follow you back, but if I’m intrigued, I surely will. I only have a few photos posted, since I just started this week, but I’m having so much fun I promise to post much more. It’s a nice exercise, you get very conscious of the things you see, and you’re constantly like: “What’s a nice image to post on Instagram?” For photo buffs, it’s a nice way to sharpen your “eye”, learning to find the extra in the ordinary to come up with something extraordinary.

Here’s a couple of what I have so far:

So come on, do your own photo-diary of sorts and join us on Instagram! I’m a late bloomer here, but now I’m so addicted!
