I was never really into self-help books. So I have never Chicken Souped my soul no matter how down in the dumps I was. I just sulked, my standard response to anything tragic in my life. I didn’t really have the time to read a book as my world was falling apart. A common target for comics, self-help books have been vilified mainly for the many hacks who’ve proliferated the genre that’s just asking for it.
