The Top Ten Tips On Election Day

I guess we can make an exception today and post this morning’s topic since it’s very timely to today’s historic vote.  The last time I felt this kind of national fervor was during the polarizing Marcos-Aquino election, the first ever election I voted in.  It was a turning point in our history then, and I have a feeling it’s the same this year.  I just pray it’s historic for the better.

May 10, 2010 – The Top Ten Tips On Election Day – Sent in by: Abernathy

  1. Wandering Eneri/Lancey – Don’t be discouraged by the crowds and long lines. Don’t leave without voting. Fight for your right to vote! It’s a small sacrifice to make for the future of our country.
  2. Elen P. – No erasures.
  3. Roy – Don’t over vote. You can under vote, but not over vote.
  4. Bonn Ryan – Vote for who deserves to win and not just for the ones who have a good chance of winning.
  5. Elen P. – Bring a valid I.D.
  6. Princezalthea – After voting, go home. Don’t linger, just to be on the safe side.
  7. OscarDelaHopia – If someone is trying to buy your vote, you can opt to accept the money, but don’t let that change your decisions.
  8. Superjellie – On vote buying, ask yourself kung saan babawiin ng kandidato ang perang ibinigay sa yo.
  9. Superjellie – Please wear deodorant, maawa kayo sa mga katabi mo.
  10. Abernathy – Bring lots of water, a fan & an extra shirt. This election season is literally hot!
  11. Targrod – Don’t remove the ink till may 12. May buy 1 take 1 daw sa Subway (I hope it’s true!).
  12. Kandy Kane – If you can avoid it, don’t discuss your choice of candidates while waiting in line. Some people get fired up about it and conversations could get heated.

  14. OhGerald – Do not let anyone intimidate you when casting your ballot.
  15. Targrod/Abernathy – Wear neutral colors when you vote. And remove election paraphernalia. Electioneering yun.

  17. Jedi Mstr – As we make the bed we will lie in  for the next 6 years, let us make sure that today the pen will be mightier than the sword.
  18. OhGerald – You will have four tries to put your ballot through the PCOS unit. If after the 4th try it doesn’t read properly, goodbye ballot.
  19. OhGerald – For our seniors, and those who have “blurry eyes” bring your eye glasses kasi may kaliitan ung bilog na hugis itlog.
