This is not an all-out trailers post. I just got excited about three particular trailers:
Aidan? Aidan Shaw? OMFG. If you ever watched SATC, this is one of the best story lines of the series. Incredible writing went into these two characters, Carrie and Aidan. I’m kinda scared about the sequel though, it’s like too much camp in one movie might turn it into some grotesque drag film. I mean, Liza Minelli AND Miley Cyrus? I just don’t want it to be a circus. The first was great for fans, I just hope they don’t overdo it with the camels and stuff (insert hump joke here).
This is actually an old film, it was shown last year. But I can’t seem to let it go. I haven’t watched it, but I’m really drawn to it. I’m a big horror film buff, and I find the recent ones really corny. But this is creepy. I’m sure it’ll stink badly, given I never really heard anything about it, but I think it’s got a goofy premise, but in a creepy way. It could’ve been good, if handled by a better team, but obviously it’s a Z-movie. But if I find a copy, I’d still hit it…
My next project. I really love the whole Ancient Rome thingy, the same way I love the Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt mythologies, but this has a really current 300 meets Rome porn vibe. Jude tells me it’s really raunchy. Unfortunately, Season 2 will be delayed because of lead star Andy Whitfield’s diagnosis with early-stage Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Instead, they’re now developing a 6-episode prequel while their star seeks treatment. Sad.
