Finally, we have the schedules for our Quickfire guesting! We will be appearing on chef-mom Rosebud Benitez’ cooking show on the following dates: February 16, 6pm, February 17, 6pm, and February 18, 6:30pm.
We had a really great time, one of our lightest and most enjoyable TV guestings EVER, because chef RB was just so friendly and accommodating! We felt at home and at ease right away. Plus, the whole staff and crew were just so nice.

Before you get to watch the actual episodes, let me just share a funny behind-the-scene moment during the shoot (Delle will kill me!). When we were shooting the first episode, we were preparing oysters with goat cheese. Delamar was tasked to slice the goat cheese (which looked like kesong puti), and so she did. Not instructed to slice it in any specific dimensions, Delle proceeded to slice the poor curdled mass into, how do I put it nicely, “not thin” chunks. In fact, I later described the slices as, “mas makapal pa sa takong ng D.O.M.” So when it came time to bake the unfortunate oysters, we were all stymied by how long it was taking for the bottom-feeders to cook! Chef Rosebud eventually put the nail on the coffin and declared, “masyadong makapal yung cheese!” Hahaha, we were laughing so hard and Delle was beet-red, profusely apologizing for the weapons of mass cheesiness that she unleashed! It was kitchen ER time, and so we re-did the dish, with a staff member tasked to slice the cheese this time, and to underscore the funniness of the situation, chef RB cautioned the assigned slicer, “Manipis lang ha, wag yung sing-kapal nung kanina…”

But all’s well that ends well, and the oysters came out deee-licious, since we actually wolfed down everything we cooked! We had so much fun doing that gig, and we were still laughing about the cheese even as we drove home. That was on the same night that my photo buddies and I were doing the egress at Shangri-la and ingress at the Podium for our exhibit. So it was a fully-packed, yet loaded-with-fun kind of day for me.
So again, thank you to chef Rosebud Benitez, Georis, Baby (whom we’ve worked with back in “Rebyu”!), and all the staff and crew who made the guesting so pleasurable! I swear, that set had a really nice vibe, in my opinion. Please try to catch the episodes!
