Remember how my prized champion persian cat Isis had to be shaved, but regrew her glorious hair and eventually looked like this again?

Well…this is how she looks like now:

Sigh…just like how it was, same time last year, despite faithful grooming, Isis’ fur became matted no matter how much or how often we de-tangle her. And strange thing, all year round, her fur was fine, then suddenly bam! By late November her fur took a life of its own, like some medusa-hydra cross, and refused to behave. The groomer said it might have to be an annual shaving, since her fur seems to be like this every end of the year. Sigh…just when her fur got back to its former ploofy glory — zap — it’s clipperville again. Unlike last year’s lion cut, where they shaved off everything except her head and tail, this time, they shaved off EVERYTHING. Oddly, she ended up looking like a sphynx hybird, which I found very nice, actually. I swear, she’s still a beauty even when deprived of her plummage. I don’t mind so much how she looks, but I really find her so kawawa because they really have like a couple of days where she’s “depressed” right after the shaving. It’s almost as if she feels ashamed of how she looks. She snaps out if it quickly enough though. I’d cuddle her and lambing her so she doesn’t feel so ugly.
So goodbye to this:

And hello to this:

Don’t cry Isis, I love you just the way you are…

“Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!”
