Hehehe…naks, sexy! Seriously, I almost forgot the fact that exactly 1 year ago, I decided to start a blog that would become so much a part of my daily life, to a degree that became much more than I ever expected. I thought it would just end up like one of those many pet projects that I tended to start, but never really followed through. But before I knew it, I was stressing and obsessing about this blog more often than I thought. And it was just so fortuitous, that on the same year, I should also get into another hobby that eventually became a new love of my life: PHOTOGRAPHY. I guess both new endeavors inadvertently went hand-in-hand, and what started out as leisure activities, became full-time passions.
In the process I learned many new skills, met many great friends and acquaintances, and as an inevitability, acquired strings of sleepless nights in the pursuit of improving my crafts. 2008 has become one of my landmark years for many reasons. It saw many starts, but it was also beset my multiple crises, many of which are personal and internal. So what better state to be in when blogging than a state of stress and distress?
I joke about this blog a lot, about it being the “greatest” and “most award-winning” one, mainly because obviously it’s not. I guess it’s nothing more than just an outlet of a restless spirit, where I feel I can throw stuff out there for anyone interested to experience. It’s just a medium by which I can share with whoever cares to stop, look and endure.
I still have many ideas about this blog — some big, some small; some great, some idiotic; some genuine, many pretentious. But whatever, I guess I reserve this little spot on the web, where I can just be myself, regardless of how other people feel about it, my little kingdom where I get to express my “private” thoughts…in public.
So I guess thanks to those who took time out to check out the blog the past year, for sitting through the good and the bad, and just basically hearing me out and checking out what I had to share. Hope you join me still in the following year(s) and I’ll try to make the blog more fun and interesting and less neurotic and self-indulgent as I could.
