This is a sore spot for many parents. Obviously kids can’t love both parents EXACTLY the same, the same way that parents can’t love all their kids EXACTLY the same. If we all just learned to acept that simple fact, we’ll save ourselves so much grief and many hours on the therapist’s couch. There’s nothing wrong with it, as long as everyone is given their due. The love may not be equal, but the treatment should be as close to equal as possible. I know how it feels to be both the favorite and the least favored.
