El Nido (The Pictures)

Of course, since I posted about Buri Resort in Puerto Galera, my travel entries now come in threes.  The Resort, The Experience, and The Pictures.  So here are the pictures that don’t really fit anywhere, but as an amateur photographer, I’d like to share anyway.  Some are all-out wala lang, and those that come with stories are annotated.

Here’s a handheld, low light photo that I’m proud of because it didn’t come out too blurry:

Wala lang…hitting 2 birds with 1 pic.

My best shot when trying to shoot the resort’s cultural show.  It was so hard shooting moving dancers, they were so malikot!

Playing around with shooting lights.  Notice how you can see the light source (bamboo lamps) at the tips of the light streaks. This should make a nice shower curtain design.

Here are 2 versions of the typical coconut-shot-from-the-base pic.  One day shot, one night shot.

2 beach shots at Entalula:

A lovely praying mantis that I saw on a chair in Lagen. It tried to attack me many times. It didn’t like me poking my camera so close. It felt its privacy invaded.

Tulay or not tulay…that is the question.

I love shooting after sunset, the sky is a gorgeous hue of blue.  No photoshop here, just unadulterated beauty from nature. Another shot I’m proud of because I didn’t use a tripod on this one.

A romantic shot of two boats in love. HHWF: Holding Hands While Floating.

A night shot of a log that wash up on the beach.

There you go, that wraps up our El Nido Miniloc adventure!  I hope you enjoyed that short re-telling of our trip.  No amount of pics or stories can match being there yourself.  I hope I always have work so I can constantly save up for travelling.  This is the only luxury that I don’t mind spending big money on, money that I worked so hard to earn.  It’s worth every centavo.  I have another short vacation coming up, so hopefully I get to take more pics again!
